The diaries of…
Words by Cassandra Photos by Peter Collie
Hello, my name is… Cassandra. When ASM offered me to write a monologue rather than the usual interview format that accompanies a photoshoot, I jumped at the chance. Here goes…

I’ve been in Australia for just under four years. I’m a big car fan, although I’m into the old school V8s as well as West Coast style switched Caddies. The latter is a dream car of mine; I’d love to be able to bounce up and down at traffic lights, with a huge system pumping.
A problem though; I don’t have an Australian licence yet. I had a driving lesson when I was 20 and the driving instructor was like, “Wooaahhh!! Stop signs! Stops signs!” And I’m too scared to drive here without a licence – there are cops on patrol in full effect out here.
When I lived in the U.K., things were a bit different. I was on my Learner’s Permit, but if I had a fight with my man then I’d take his car out by myself to teach him a lesson. I was a bit of a crazy little girl – I was really lucky I didn’t get pulled over or had a crash – but I loved driving and there was the fear factor of not having a full licence.
