Amelia

This month we have the pleasure of inviting the lovely Amelia into our passenger’s seat. She’s a Sydney girl who hopes to make it big in Japan. So in the future she may even be the face in the brochure of your favourite JDM high performance vehicle.

ASM: So, are you into cars?
Amelia: I drive one (laughs)? No, I like them a lot.

ASM: What sort of cars do you like?
Amelia: Right now, I’d love to drive a big black BMW X5. It would have really dark tints, and big chrome wheels.
ASM: Awesome, a dub style X5. That’s hot. It would really suit you.
Amelia: (laughs) thanks, I thought it would be a little weird having a blonde jumping out of the drivers seat.

ASM: What got you started in modelling?
Amelia: My best friend was pestering me to get into it. I finally gave it ago and it has been awesome so far. I started when I was in high school, so having a bit of extra cash back then was great.

ASM: Do you like it?
Amelia: I love it, it’s good to have the variety of jobs, and every day is a lot of fun.

ASM: What’s the best thing about it?
Amelia: I guess meeting new people, I get to meet a lot of nice girls, and all the people we work with are great. Being part of a big campaign is also fantastic.

ASM: And the worst thing?
Amelia: Being judged all the time. Every time we meet a new client or go to a casting you are being judged. You’re too tall, too short, too skinny, too fat. I don’t think you ever get used to that.

ASM: What would you say is the weirdest part of your body?
Amelia: Well, it’s not that weird but it annoys me, it’s my straight hair. It’s naturally curly and wavy, so I have to treat it weekly and always have to blow dry it straight, it’s a lot of work.
